Digitizing your images doesn't require much effort, which can easily be accomplished with any modern smart phone or flatbed scanner, but using these methods can have their disadvantages as in image quality, lighting artifacts, exposure/color/white balance, and resolution issues (just to name a few).

In order to digitize and produce your images properly (highest quality), this requires the use of professional photography equipment and expertise (dslm camera, copy-stand, macro lens, monitor, correct lighting, raster graphics editor, etc.), thus creating high quality museum standard digital images.
